Reading the Volume lane

A Volume alert means a token printed volume far above its short-term baseline.

Day to day, price and volume spikes are common on Solana. Most fade within hours. Degen Dan Plays keeps the Volume feed open to measure how many do not.

Put simply, momentum alerts show that something is moving, not why. Degen Dan Plays reads Volume on Solana as a question: who is driving the move, and can the pool absorb it?

Start here: Divide 24-hour volume by liquidity. A very high ratio can mean churn between a few wallets. Look at how many distinct buyers joined during the move, not only the volume total.

The scoreboard

14 %2x in 24 h
379tokens measured
81 %dead in 24 h
4 %5x in 24 h

Over the last 7 mature days the network alerted 379 tokens in Volume on Solana. 14 % reached 2x within 24 hours and 4 % reached 5x; 81 % died inside a day, usually after about 0.3 h. The Solana average for all topics was 25 % reaching 2x. With 95 % confidence this lane did worse than the rest of Solana on the 2x measure, which is why the checks matter more here.

The filter

Degen Dan Plays narrows the Volume lane on Solana with a simple, public screen:

In the 45 most recent lane alerts at build time (about 13 hours), 15 passed this screen. Those that passed had a median market cap of $304.0K, median liquidity of $85.9K and about 1891 holders. 9 of the 45 lane alerts had liquidity below a tenth of their market cap, which makes exits expensive. The median top-10 holder share across the lane was 7 %.

Values measured on 2026-09-23 from the Empire feed. The screen is a filter, not a recommendation.

Checks before any trade

Every Volume alert gets the same checks at Degen Dan Plays.

#Check
1Look for bundled launch buys: several wallets buying in the same block.
2Read the top ten holders and remove pools and burn addresses from the count.
3Write down the level that proves you wrong before any buy.
4Search the contract in the Empire Telegram network to see other alerts on it.
5Work from the contract address; tickers repeat across chains and copies.
6Use an amount you can lose completely without stress.
